How can I buy Tortmann mixes?
You can buy online for Germany wide deliveries. Occasionally we are at street markets in Berlin, or food fairs. Follow us on instagram at @bakewithtortmann to know where we are.
What is your return policy?
As we are selling a food product, we can’t offer returns at this point. However if you are not happy with your Tortmann experience, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee.
Where do you ship and how much does it cost?
We ship Germany-wide with DHL including tracking numbers. Shipping costs are 4,99 EUR. For all orders above 40 Euros, we offer free shipping.
What is the shelf life?
Since we don’t use any additives and preservatives, our mixes have a shelf life of 1 year from production date. The only exemption is our Matcha Cookies, which has a shelf life of 6 months. Don't worry though, they are so tasty we doubt you can wait that long to bake them!
How do you produce?
We create the recipes, focusing on taste, quality and simplicity. We hand pick our ingredients and source from trusted suppliers like Original Beans. And we partner with a local Berlin producer to make sure quality stays high while enabling us to produce higher amounts than what we can do ourselves.
I'm a nervous baker, is it easy to make them?
Yes! They might look fancy, but we create our mixes so that anyone can bake. We tested our products a lot to ensure that they will always yield perfect results. You also get step-by-step instructions with photos inside the package.
Which flavors do you offer?
We are currently offering 3 cake mixes and 2 cookie mixes. Carrot Cake, Tropical Blondie, vegan and gluten free Raspberry Lemon Loaf, Matcha Cookies and Strawberry Cookies.
Do you offer sugar-free, gluten-free and vegan alternatives?
Currently our mixes use sugar and all-purpose flour. Our Raspberry Lemon Loaf is the only mix that is gluten-free and also vegan. If you wish to see more options, please write to us with your suggestions.
Is it organic?
We only source high quality ingredients. As we are in the process of getting our official certification, that’s all we are allowed to say publicly right now ;)

Hi, we are Naz & Thomas — two friends from Berlin.
We met over 10 years ago through our shared love of food, travel, and discovering new flavors. In the kitchen, we had a clear split: Naz cooked. Thomas baked.
Thomas’s carrot cake became a favorite among friends, but almost nobody made it themselves. The recipe was loved; the effort wasn’t. So Thomas created a baking mix. There was just one problem: every mix we found felt like a compromise. Convenient, yes. But rarely something you’d proudly serve.
So we decided to fix baking mixes.
